UMT360 Strategic PMO Breakfast Series: Chicago

Driving PMO Transformation

Join Microsoft & UMT360 to Learn How Business Controls Power the Strategic PMO

If outdated PPM techniques are still holding your PMO back, we have good news. Join us for our breakfast event featuring three sessions designed to help you understand what it takes to step forward as a Strategic PMO.

Microsoft Project Online & Server are unmatched for project and program management (PPM) execution. But to truly drive business transformation, today's PMO must manage every project, program, IT asset and product as the strategic investments they really are. Join our breakfast event to learn how strategic PMOs are leveraging their Microsoft PPM solution investment to activate critical business controls and eliminate the inefficiencies and manual processes that plague traditional PPM.

Session 1: Three Pillars Of The Strategic PMO – How can increased efficiency, better visibility and an enterprise-wide approach transform your PMO? In this session, you’ll learn the importance of:

  • Consolidating project and financial data and streamlining processes
  • Gaining a more strategic perspective to improve decision-making
  • Connecting portfolios to drive transformation across all business and IT assets

Session 2: Strategic PMO Case Study – Dan Smith will share how a PPM platform upgrade – including the addition of missing financial controls – increased his PMO’s maturity. Learn how incorporating comprehensive and sophisticated business planning and controls into a common process and set of  tools can help your PMO more effectively address stakeholder needs and facilitate capital selection.

Session 3: Strategic PMOs Require Metrics. But Which Ones?PMOs use many metrics to benchmark and track portfolio performance – from budget utilization to estimating accuracy to failure rates and cost overruns. But which metrics are most important? This session will focus on the metrics and benchmarks that help improve PPM performance and demonstrate the value of the PMO, including strategic yield – one metric that could be the key to helping ensure your programs deliver maximum business value.

Project

We'll wrap-up the sessions with an open Q&A. Ben and Carl will be joined by Brian Quick, Project & Portfolio Management Solution Specialist with Microsoft, so come prepared with questions and join this lively discussion.
